ConstantsHere is the link to the latest contants (for the Windows & DOS Maxc programs) which contain two files of constants in two formats:
If you want specific metals and chelators in a file of constants and do not want to try and figure this out yourself, I will try and find the constants and construct the file for you. Not all combinations are possible. A request for Cu1 came in recently, but there are no constants for Cu1 in the NIST database that I could find. SOURCES OF CONSTANTS Check out: http://www.nist.gov/ts/msd/srd/nist46.cfm NIST Critical Stability Constants. Covers most of the constants in Martell & Smith. The program and database are no longer maintained. You can download for free. It runs in Windows 95-XP and in Vista/W7 in Windows XP virtual mode. The database is NOT compatible with 64 bit operating systems. I use it in XP virtual mode on Windows 7 64 bit myself. It complements, but does not replace the Martell & Smith "Critical Stability Constants" volumes. Invitrogen has information for its fluorescent probes at: http://probes.invitrogen.com/handbook/sections/1900.html I did some work on getting these into MAXC format. Magnesium indicators and their constants are on this page. |
